WHO WE ARE
The Democratic Republic of Congo à la Carte (DRCC) Foundation is a Dutch nonprofit, apolitical organization based in The Hague, the Netherlands, established in 2014 by the Diaspora women .
Our main mission is to contribute to Integration & Participation of the diaspora in the host land, to strengthen a brain gain to support the reconstruction and sustainable development in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and other post conflict settings from a gender perspective.
We believe that sustainable Development and conservation of biocultural diversity is possible only when youth and women equally participate, acquire skills and access to education and employment opportunities.

DRCC foundation is signatory of the Dutch National Action Plan on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.(Dutch NAP 1325)
GOAL
The DRCC Foundation aims at providing a platform for exchange, research, entrepreneurship, and dialogue on the biocultural, historical, social, economic, political, and ecological diversity of the DRC. Through these activities, the DRCC aims to promote a democratic and sustainable state. To achieve this goal, the DRCC relies on a gender inclusive-transformative approach that stimulates the diaspora in their diversity(young and old, women and men) to contribute to: Integration and participation policy ; Women, Peace and security agenda; Sustainable development goals; Good governance; Human rights and women’s voices. Our key areas of focus include awareness, networking, lobbying, research, education, gender equality and sustainable cooperation.
ACTIVITIES
The DRCC Foundation is a signatory of the Dutch National Action Plan on the implementation of the UNC Resolution 1325 Women Peace Security(Dutch NAP 1325). In this background, the DRCC implements and supports programmes that foster Women participation, peace &security; human rights, and sustainable development including Climate change issues in the Netherland, the DRC, the Great Lakes Region, and globally, in post-conflict zones from a gender perspective.
Our main activities include :
- Capacity building and communication around the UNCR 1325/2250 on Women, Peace, Security Agenda and The Youth, Peace , Security agenda
- Gender mainstreaming in policies, programmes and projects
- Education, Research and vocational training
- Indigenous Knowledge, Gender and Climate change
- Peacebuilding and conflict transformation with a gender lens
- Women’s leadership and Positive Masculinities
- Socioeconomic empowerment of women and youth
- Gender inclusive and gender transformative services for a sustainable agrifood business
- Gender inclusive green Entrepreneurship in rural development
- Biodiversity conservation and benefit sharing as crosscutting issues.
